ADIDAS, HIGHPOINT VIC

This site is one that exemplifies teamwork – here we worked seamlessly with Faculty shopfitting to produce documentation drawings for this site for Adidas in Highpoint VIC.

The design direction for all Adidas stores stems from their head office.  Our role working with Adidas and Faculty Shopfitting was to create design documentation suitable for manufacture and the shopping centre’s approval in Australia.

The design process began with conceptual renders produced overseas for the overall design intent.  We took this to the next step by further developing the 3Ds to accurately reflect what would be manufactured here in Australia.  This aided the design refinement and approval process with both Adidas and the shopping centre – GPT Group.

From a structural/technical perspective, the shopfront at Adidas, Highpoint is a work of art – and for this, we worked very closely with Faculty Shopfitting – who really gave the direction on how it should be manufactured – because from a technical perspective the shopfront is incredibly complex, and took a collaboration between both shopfitters and designers to resolve.

Second, to the shopfront, the shoe wall and OCS bulkhead both had quite a high level of technical detail.  These details featured fluted glass, supported by a structural steel framework and illuminated with LED wash lighting – together with product display and signage.

Adidas Highpoint is a perfect example of what can be produced when a client, shopfitter and designer collaboration work together seamlessly.
